Transforming a Hidden Garden Corner into a Magical Play Space
Meet Daniel, the founder and creative mind behind My Wooden House — a designer and craftsman known for turning forgotten garden spaces into something truly special and unique.
With years of experience and a passion for woodwork, Daniel leads a team that creates bespoke wooden climbing frames, playhouses, garden rooms and outdoor structures — each one handcrafted and built to order.
One of our favourite recent projects perfectly captures his approach.
This beautiful bespoke wooden play area, built beneath a graceful old willow tree in Reading, Buckinghamshire began as an unused, shaded corner of a family garden.
Daniel designed the entire structure — a custom playhouse, climbing wall, swings, and slide — to work in harmony with the garden’s shape and the willow’s natural canopy.
The team then handcrafted and installed each piece on site, creating a magical play space that blends seamlessly into the surroundings.
